Port Authority for the whole region

  As owner of the ports of Caen-Ouistreham and Cherbourg, PNA ensures management and development of the harbour area, guarantees the safety of nautical access routes and defines a sustainable development policy for these two ports.PNA, a grouping of    local authorities devoted to making the area competitive The Normandy Region, the Manche and Calvados departments have formed a joint dedicated governing body in order to boost the two ports’ performance for the benefit of the two areasand to enhance  their growth.


  Strength in complementarity

 Major port area in France, registering traffic of nearly 4.7 million tonnes of freight and 1.5 million passengers, PNA enjoys a privileged geographical position, just a few miles from the main European maritime corridor and central along the Channel seaboard. With  high quality multimodal connections linking them to the main European transport routes, the ports of Caen-Ouistreham and Cherbourg offer harbor facilities enabling them to handle various types of traffic and to accommodate a broad range of activities.
